Congress demands answers from CoreCivic and GEO Group, but landlords, brokers, and investment firms that profited from ICE warehouse deals remain unquestioned.
Some of the names on this list- Rockefeller Group and CBRE are not surprising. Both are leading real estate firms that develop and manage warehouse logistics assets. I mean, you'd expect to see them in these deals given that DHS has developed an entire strategy of buying large warehouse facilities and converting them to concentration camps.
What is worth running to ground very closely is the ridiculous transaction prices and profit margins being made on these deals. The least corrupt explanation I can come up with is- DHS, with billions of dollars sloshing around in its budget, is slapping huge stacks of cash on the deal table so they can close these deals in a Blitz Krieg fashion and set about to converting facilities super fast before the public can figure out what has happened- essentially throw tons of money at these warehouses and move fast. That's the least corrupt scenario I can think of.
It's probably more plausible these are all sweetheart deals structured to line the pockets of friends of the regime.
Follow the money. Their cruelty is only matched by their corruption. Thank you for bringing transparency to their deals and holding them accountable. You are heroes!
This is stomach churning as I am preparing to write check to pay the taxes that are being used for this horrific mismanagement. There were rumors that states were considering withholding tax money to the Federal government that is violating the law constantly. I am completely ready for this to happen. I don't want DHS buying warehouses to house and abuse immigrants or pay exorbitantly high prices while the administration is profiting from this. I don't want to pay for Trump's idiotic war on Iran, that was totally unnecessary, but the little man was trying to look bigger, but now looks much smaller (see Michael de Adder's editorial cartoon of Trump as Gulliver today! It is excellent.) Then, there is the payment to Michael Flynn and the possibility of payment to the Jan 6th mob. Oh, and don't forget the possible invasion of Cuba. BTW, if you get any Trump dollars, don't forget to redact his name. He likes to have his name redacted (See Epstein files.)
All those warehouses, especially the ones given at 100xs the market value are what I've been saying...this is a laundering scheme even Al Capone would be hesitant to mess with. Nobody pays 100mil for 29mil warehouse.

So ironic that Trump boasts of his deal-making abilities, then encourages his administration to pay double, triple, even 10 times what a property is worth. Corruption in its purist form.
He's making great deals for his friends... and don't be surprised if/when there's a full investigation that somehow the money trail leads back to DT and family. 🤬
