Yesterday afternoon, ICE ERO released a request for proposals (RFP) on SAM.gov requesting contractor support to “conduct safety and wellness checks of an estimated 100,000 unaccompanied alien children (UAC) across the US.” Labeled as the “Safety Verification Initiative,” this RFP is the latest development in a year’s long campaign by ICE to track down UAC who were encountered by DHS and subsequently released from the care and custody of the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement.
Donald Trump has experience with trafficking minors, so I would replace "possibility" with "likelihood". He is completely unrepentant, so the past is a good predictor of the present.
Government contractors become experts at "winning" contracts. After they win a contract, they hire employees to do the jobs. DHS has been awarding contracts to military, private security, and private prison companies. These companies should be nowhere near children.
Whenever this regime uses the words save, safe or safety, you know it's something destructive and ugly. We have a "Justice" Dep't hell bent on ensuring that a bunch of rich guys involved in the trafficking of girls are protected while those girls (now grown women) are outed publicly. A peek at Dilley Det'n Ctr in TX makes it clear trump & co. don't give a rat's ass about children's welfare.
This is all part of their inhumane plan to read the United States of not just immigrants, but many people of color. I hope when we read these posts, we feel inspired to write the companies and tell them how opposed we are for them to participate in building internment camps.

Tell your Senators and Representatives in Congress to add as a DHS funding requirement:
Prevent targeting immigrant children and their sponsors through “Unaccompanied Alien Children” programs.
Of course, Abolish ICE is the better goal, but this is the pressure point we can apply now.
