Another excellent article. If we have a Democratic Congress next year, I sure hope one of the committees takes advantage of all the information SALT BOX has accumulated. The administration has moved at lightening speed to move money from the taxpayers to their inner circle of, what?, friends and family? donors, the cult of the colossally corrupt? SALT BOX has been doing the job normally done by the Inspector Generals, and then some because of having been able to force them to alter some of their plans. Hopefully you guys will be ready to hand it over to them so they get off to a fast start. Thank you guys - and gals... You are another example of America's citizen based democracy at it's best.

Nail on head!! We have no govt.oversight, so Project Salt Box is having to do it. I wonder what % of the tax$$$ being sloshed to magat cronies goes directly to trump?

What a waste of our tax dollars, especially buying them way above the market price to help DJT’s rich donors.

"In Roxbury, the Department of Homeland Security reversed a decision to sell the warehouse and told a court it may convert the site to detention after all."

What it's worth, despite Markymark Mullin's parting-shot snarl that Roxbury's warehouse (about 12 miles from my house; no-roxbury-jails.com) would indeed be used for detention (just days after we received official legal confirmation that ICE would not use it that way), nothing more has happened. The local team keeps an eye on comings and goings, and even blew the whistle when it seemed local ICE agents were keeping single detainees there for a few hours at a time.

Mullin. We're waiting.

Tom, wanted to get your thoughts on this article from Jasmine Garsd at NPR this morning: https://www.npr.org/2026/10/08/nx-s1-5983441/ice-warehouses-new-jersey-roxbury

While the government officials have some immunity for these fraudulent deals, that doesn't extend to the private buyers and sellers involved as far as I know.

Could there be lawsuits and motions to preserve evidence of the deals for future criminal prosecutions?

Thank you for your continued work. It's important for the public to know who individuals and organizations involved in these deals are.

Seriously, who the heck is signing off on these deals?! The people themselves (not just the Agency) need to be held accountable. This is abuse and mis-use of taxpayer funds. We need accountability! Side note: I’m so glad they won’t be used as detention centers.

What About Upper Bern Township Warehouse?

Pacific Coast Capital Partners, 10100 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles IS & ALWAYS WAS Involved Since 2019. GACSD IS A LLC; Parent Company IS PCCP! There Were 6 LLC's Created In Delaware. OVER $155,800,000; Yes, Over $155 Million Invested In ONE Little Warehouse With NO OCCUPANCY Permit Because Of MULTIPLE Still Existing Infrastructure Issues. Dan Meuser Does NOT Answer What He Knew, When Did He Know It, AND What Money Was Involved!

EVERY CITIZEN SHOULD DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY, Political Party Affiliation Should Not Matter, WE THE PEOPLE Should Hold OUR Representatives Accountable!

Incompetence on full display. But where is the evidence that “cruelty is the policy”? I must have missed it.
