U.S. Buys Salt Lake City Warehouse for $145 Million to House ICE Detention Facility
The seller was a fund managed by DWS, the global asset manager spun out of Deutsche Bank, in a deal that would add 7,500 beds to the federal immigration detention system.

The federal government has purchased a Salt Lake City warehouse for $145.4 million to house an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility, according to a deed recorded with Salt Lake County on Wednesday — with the seller being an entity tied to RREEF, the real estate investment arm of DWS Group, the Frankfurt-based asset manager with roughly $1 trillion in assets under management.
The deed transfers ownership of Lot 2 of the Gardner Logistics Center on West 300 South from RREEF CPIF 6020 W 300 S, LLC — a Delaware limited liability company whose Chicago-based signatory acted on behalf of the fund — to the United States Department of Homeland Security. ICE is listed as the acquiring federal agency.
As previously reported, the facility would add 7,500 detention beds to ICE’s national network, making it one of the largest immigration detention sites in the country.
A representative for DWS could not immediately be reached.

I also called Jenny Wilson’s office (mayor of Salt Lake County) and left a message. I am interested in finding out how to oppose this travesty. These are not normal Templar detention centers, but concentration camps modeled after Natzi camps used by Germans to hold Jews during WW2! ICE has incarcerated people of all ages without their Constitutional Rights. Trump endorses these facilities and is no better than the prosecutors of the Jews.
