They said the same thing with Roxbury New Jersey. When our Town council called and asked them about the environmental, water/sewer evaluations they told our mayor that they had already done them. Mayor called our sewer department and they said nothing was ever done.

New Jersey is suing them. And that information is all in it.

Lies. Lies. Lies.

I believe that the more the factual statistics of water usage, sewer, strain on nearby medical facilities, electricity usage, etc. are presented, along with environmental concerns may very well sway the judge. Because anyone who even has a portion of a brain understands that a warehouse is no place to store humans. Also, keep honing in on the possible financial corruption associated with the warehouse high sales amounts.

Yeah. So far above market.

Here in Washington County, many of us live with the tension created by DHS, ICE, and our own local officials. We experience it every day. I'm sure I speak for others in our community when I say thank you for sharing this information with us. As goes the phrase, "Knowledge is power", it can only help us to know more about what is actually going on at every level.

Thank you for another pithy article. In my dreams, aside from the substantial infrastructure issues that would have to be addressed, I still hope some of them could be redesigned and used for housing the homeless and nearly homeless...

Corruption. And they were so darn sure they'd get away with it. Keep up the good work!

This lawless regime stops at nothing to impose their corruption of law and humanity on our "environment." The corruption and cruelty is really hard to take in - but that is part of the plan. Thank you for tracking these criminals.

What about Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)? Have they considered whether the building has sufficient ventilation, air changes, and purification to have safe indoor air for that many people? What about heating and cooling (HVAC)? Are there going to be laundry areas or showers? How will the humidity be removed? Fire suppression, electrical systems, CO detection, plumbing and sewer? Have they developed a relationship with state and local public health departments? Will it meet OSHA standards? Will it meet ADA standards? A comprehensive environmental review is required regardless of past assessments and should take several months. High occupancy density creates poor IAQ which when ventilated effects the outdoor environment by releasing VOC's, particulate matter, and pathogens. Water and sewer infrastructure must meet environmental regulations. Hazardous waste management? Access to natural light?

It is so important to pay attention and expose these crooks. To sign off a project like this with so little effort put in shows what they think ordinary people’s lives are worth… less than nothing.

One of those is less than 5 minutes from my house. Did a little visit last week. The place is disguised by the Visiting Nurses Association signs on the building. Cameras on every corner. Interesting. Fleet of black SUVs fenced in, on the property. They’re buying lots of those too.

Lies. Lies. Lies. And there will be even more Lies. Lies. Lies.

I think this situation is going to make it more difficult for the state to win the case. The DHS version of an environmental review, suspect as it might be, gives them, at least, an aura of legitimacy, especially since a Fed court is probably going to show some deference to a Fed agency. DHS hasn't won yet, certainly, but this development is going to make it more of an uphill battle for opponents of the center to stop it.

The deference is called "the presumption of regularity," and it has dropped continuously since January 20, 2025. Federal courts no longer believe the administration, and they are demanding evidence for everything the administration says. The courts are most skeptical of the State Department and the Department of Justice.

Federal judges criticize the administration with unprecedented harshness and frequency. That creates significant delay. The people can tie the administration up in court for years by suing the administration in every possible way for everything it does. Some cases will outlast Trump's term. The beautiful irony is that Trump used the same tactic in his business for decades. That undermines his credibility when he complains about the courts.

What forces the utilities to increase the allotments for the warehouse? Can't they limit the water, sewer, and electric usage by the government? If the government forces it, what prevents 1000% surcharges for the excess usage?
