I seriously got into it with Vanguard over "suspending" the money to the Southern Poverty Law Center from their "donor advised" side. From the time I was escalated up my own Personal Advisor, to the two women above him, I received a canned response that they'd been sent by the Up Above People who stated that Vanguard vs Vanguard Charities were two different 'entities'. I called it, with the Vanguard name sitting on it, still a duck, walks like a duck and talks like one etc. and suggested that such a suspension of a US premier civil rights group leaves a bad taste in the mouth and a stench around the name "Vanguard". My own holdings don't have very much private equity folded into them, and that's what I have advised my personal advisor to always be on the alert to steer away from investments like KKR, Apollo and worst of worst.
GEO group has had one detention center in Wash State for over 10 years, and the State is now in court with GEO over turning down random inspections by our State Dept of Health NINE times. State pressure is being applied to GEO group, which may be why, across blue states, immigrants have been spirited away to the nation's GULAGS in Louisiana and Texas.
Wash State GEO DetCtr is always the subject of hunger strikes, and in the news for plenty of shitty stuff. It sits on the edge of Tacoma, WA.
Here's hoping our brand new Dem AG and his minions are all over GEO over their treatment of detainees like "white on rice." (Not that our former AG/now Governor, wasn't on them, too).
