The company, whose growing ICE portfolio includes locating people for deportation, will now run DHS’s contract for people leaving through the CBP Home app.
Does the City Govt know/would they intervene. That is how most of the Warehouses have been blocked-put the pressure on the community. Companies & Landlords from out of State can hide-but your own local Govt can't. Do you have any State or Fed Reps who can help? Good Luck!
We are trying to put the pressure on but the facility was previously used as a call center and the owner is considering renting it out to DHS as a national ice call center. The infrastructure is there and it’s a rental. The city knows but they are being hesitant to apply pressure. We are spreading the news as best as we can but it’s not getting any traction in media other than small independent news agencies.
Also Highly Recommend calling Rep Pramilla Jayapal(WA) jayapal.house.gov she is the Ranking Member of the House Immigration Subcomittee. She Is gearing up to go after this big time in the new Congress. She has hearings now almost weekly. I don't know if this is one of the issues on her list, if not it should be. The infamous massive Immigration Center in Tacoma is in her district-she would love to hear from you
