There is no bottom to this regime’s corruption. They just keep going lower and lower.

Is this a downshift to an international terrorism business model now?

Sound like a grift. I doubt very much that those contractors will get any kind of support from any foreign country. I also doubt they have any legal authority in those foreign countries. As a matter of fact if those contractors are not native born in those countries they might get kick out of the country. Probably another idiotic ideal from Stephen Miller to please his master.

Holy f**k. That is insane, inhumane, sick... I actually don't have strong enough words for what I think of this...

Yeah, it's like murdering someone and then making them pay YOU for the funeral, then never have it. You just dump them in the woods somewhere.

What is CBP going to do when they find them and they can not pay? Bring them back to the US and send them to jail? If they had that kind of money, they wouldn’t have come to the US.

Yes, so they can further profit from them.

Nonsensical if you think money will actually be collected, but makes sense if you suspect, as I do, that this is a scheme to send taxpayer money to a favored contractor. Favored Contractor (probably a Trump buddy) will make pro forma efforts while collecting big bucks.

One clue is that DHS gave bidders THREE days to prepare a proposal. No serious proposal can be prepared in that timeline.

Can America become any more despicable? The supporters of this policy should be required to wear hats or shirts that proclaim the support for it so that all the world can see the blackness of their hearts.

Sounds to me like a few more Trump cronies want a place at the feeding trough.

Send ICE and then you don’t have to pay any extra, they won’t succeed but it may open some of the agents eyes.

Have fun trying to collect fines in Honduras and Guatemala lol. Not only is it a grift and corrupt it’s also incredibly stupid. So they’ll pay for flights and lodging to collect some minor fines and then…break even? This would be a net negative morally, financially and legally

Okay, let me see if I understand. Under the second Trump administration, DHS has spent roughly $118.45 million on skip-tracing services to find people inside the country. While I couldn't find how much has been "recovered" within our country, there have been zero dollars recovered from other countries. So now we will double down and send people to other countries to collect debt? Now there's a job every American will be chomping to get. Am I missing something?

I am currently reading "A Resistance History of the United States" by Tad Stoermer. I just finished chapter 7, The Unbreakable Chain. I learned that when Slave Holders pursued their "property", they and the government spent more money and created more ill will than they had bargained for, and Canada and Britain were not cooperating.
