It was a $hitty deal and they knew it

Good news. Paragon that has the contract to run the detention center. How do we find out who Paragon's other clients are? It is a subsidiary of Securitas. I don't want a dollar of my state and local taxes going to either company. Everyone should know their tax dollars are going to companies that are carrying out a major human rights disaster.

Boom! This is the path to victory for sites across the country. Coalition to Shut the Camps, Romulus MI is building the same case to achieve victory. See us at shuttthecamps.org; we built a tool we call the “regulatory punch list” that builds out the impacts and timelines for creating a detention camp- including water, sewer and energy demands. DM for info. Salt Box has access.

Will that matter ? I don't think sanitation is a top priority for the detainees

Obviously DHS has no concern for the wellbeing of their detainees. Have you ever lived without a sanitary bathroom? However, the proposed facility would be harming far more people than the detainees and staff alone. The entire County would be effected, according to the State regulators.

Same story all around the country.

The Board Of Supervisors in Alameda County California just unanimously passed a resolution against the feds taking over a former women’s prison and turning it into a detention center in Dublin, California. We shall see…

Kudos to everyone that’s fighting all of this.
