What does this mean - "Rudiarius paid for the environmental review of a warehouse ICE bought in Roxbury, N.J."
There was a court settlement on May 12th saying that there had to be an environmental review before DHS could do any substantial work on the warehouse. Why is someone paying for this review? That is a governmental function.
There was an environmental review done on the warehouse as part of the purchase process — but not the kind of full environmental review necessary for a NEPA determination. Think of it like a home inspection prior to buying a house.
SK2, as the government’s brokerage contractor, was responsible for conducting that inspection, which was likely subcontracted to Rudiarius to order and review. Hence why Rudiarius — not SK2 — shows up on the inspection paperwork.
The continuation of these contracts is frightening at the amount of locations and facilities in total already accumulating.
