Warehouses purchased for 4-16 TIMES their value, no bid contracts in the millions and billions, the ballroom, the reflecting pool- KIckbacks and more kickbacks. There is no plan for or ability to squeeze funds from deportees. Think of the deportees you know; they don't have any $$$
I'd laugh at the absurdity of this except that I find it horrifying. I hope the Mexican government blocks these people from entering the country. Can you imagine a "bill" collector from another country showing up on your doorstep demanding payment for "fines? Anyone who attempts this is insane, IMO. Someone is going to get hurt.
And on top of demanding fine payments , payment to. the very people who held you in confinement and then forcibly deported you !!?! Why would these deportees - who no doubt harbor serious resentment towards ICE, which no longer has any control over them - agree to pay these fines !!?? Why do they owe money? Because they were detained? Because they were “escorted” to another country? Whose choice was that? These people HAD jobs, and were earning $$, and may even have had bank accounts in the US. This is pretty short sighted to think they owe us money. The government owes taxpayers the money they are paying these bounty hunters, because we did not have any say in this process through our Congressional Representatives.

What happens if a deported individual refuses to photograph himself to acknowledge he received the notice of the fine? Do they get to throw him in a detention center in the country he currently resides in? This is all so despicable and wrong - the Trump regime has already ruined their lives by deporting them, many who were asylum seekers sent back to countries where they are in constant danger and some of whom have already been imprisoned or murdered. Why can't they just leave them alone? I guarantee these companies will never collect anywhere near as much as the $36 million of taxpayer money being wasted on this effort. Seriously, if the US government can't figure out how to collect from people who don't have US bank accounts how are these companies going to figure out a solution?
