I’ve researched this. We need to become aware. It’s all done undercover. These warehouses are not fit to house humans. Most of the time, communities have no idea they’re being planned. Then before ppl can protest these “concentration camps “ being built, they’re already up and filling them up! They did this in my state of Fla. Alligator 🐊 Alcatraz. Not any of our residents had a clue.

Please pay attention ‼️ Let’s shut these places down!

The greater horror is...why does the country need to imprison all these people.....what will be their fate. ....... Do they anticipate actually filling them up with thousands and thousands of people.........will there be room for you and me ....and why. The whole system needs to be stopped and UNDONE. and as soon as possible. We should all be marching for "Peace" to every Detention Camp......just like those Monks.

Why? I don’t know for sure how to connect large capacity detention centers to the void created by deportation of immigrant labor and the resulting deep slide in us economy but… I fear the worst. Sorry my bad. 😞

"Maryland failed to stop the purchase in Washington County — not for lack of will, but for lack of warning. DHS paid $102.4 million for a Williamsport warehouse with no plumbing, electrical systems, or water infrastructure designed for human habitation."

They will need to hire contractors to refurbish the inside -- plumbing, electricity, etc. That's the next choke point. Go after those contractors. Identify, shame, revoke licenses, etc.

Despicable that they now do not need a public notice or Congress to approve. They have thrown out due process.

I am having issues with the website and not being able to fine the submit testimony area for HB0630. I will try with a different browser but wondered if anyone else was having issues and if so, how did you solve them? I have an MGA account etc.

We just received word that this morning the Maryland legislature rescheduled the hearing until March 11th.

We don’t yet know why.

I suspect that this change has closed the testimony window.

Thank you, I too couldn't find the submission option. I'll put it in my calendar for Mar 11.

They will only accept testimony on March 9 for the March 11 hearing. You can write it now, save as PDF so it will be ready to submit.

Thank you so much for this work

They are trying to purchase one in Romulus, Michigan right now. All under the radar.

Grateful for all your work. This needs to be spread throughout the media somehow, someway. It’s blatantly done under the cover of darkness and more light needs to be cast upon this.

Again, thank you for this work. And again, please let me know if there is any way I can be of more help!

Thank you for putting a light directly on the problem and for supporting reform to keep this from happening. Reach out to Indivisible leaders wherever these horrible purchases are identified. We will be there with people to protest. We did it in Newport, OR (I was a participant). We need a connected network of responders to these challenges to put pressure on businesses and politicians.
